SW 380 - Social Work Practice III, Organizations and Communities: Advocacy Groups/Organizations

The National Coalition on Health Care (NCHC) was formed more than two decades ago to help achieve comprehensive health system change and is currently led by John Rother. The NCHC is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization of organizations representing more than 80 participating organizations, including: medical societies, businesses, unions, health care providers, faith-based associations, pension and health funds, insurers, and groups representing consumers, patients, women, minorities and persons with disabilities. Collectively, these organizations represent, as employees, members or congregants, more than 100 million Americans.

The National Coalition for the Homeless is a national network of people who are currently experiencing or who have experienced homelessness, activists and advocates, community-based and faith-based service providers, and others committed to a single mission: To prevent and end homelessness while ensuring the immediate needs of those experiencing homelessness are met and their civil rights protected.

Family Research Council's mission is to advance faith, family and freedom in public policy and the culture from a Christian worldview.
