
Use databases to locate articles for use in your research. Although you will likely find sources using a general, multidisciplinary database, such as Academic Search Complete, you should also consider subject-specific databases. You can select databases by subject using the A to Z list of databases.
Some ways to quickly limit the number of results returned in a database search are by document type (article), date, language, full text availability, and the nature of the content, for example, peer-reviewed articles.
NOTE: If the library does not have immediate access to an article you need, you can request that the library borrow it from another library by completing the interlibrary loan request form. This requires that you plan ahead, as it may take several days to obtain an item from another library.
